Hello, As I pen these few words down, I am pretty sure that
most of you, know me very well. Quite a many of you know me as a completely
professional practical person, but for those who are really close to me(my
family and my friends), I am more emotional than intelligent.Few of my fast friends used to tell me that : Gussa to tumhari naak par beithata hai, & they are right too; but I get angry over few people only who are really close to me. People say I am a mature girl ; but in reality, I love to be immature with my friends...My friends &
well wishers many a times motivate me to write something and I do write. But, this
blog has been written specifically for the person who inspired me to write
about this topic and is dedicated to all my wonderful, beautiful and handsome
friends who are inseparable part of my life.
Friendzz, when this word strikes to our mind, we
automatically get relieved of all the personal and professional stress & tensions.
Today I would like to take an
opportunity to recall and share some special moments I shared with them. “I cannot even
imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have
given me a heart full of joy.”
I was very dull student when I was doing my primary
schooling. No love for studies at all…Then after 5th class I was
admitted to my mom’s school – Parimal School. She has always been and is being
my biggest source of inspiration and motivation. Her qualities of Swiftness,
Readiness & perseverance in undertaking any task made her my “Role Model”
from the early days of my life. Despite
of being in her school, I was given the treatment as good as other students. I
remember once I was slapped by my mom’s best frnd who was my teacher at that
time for some mischief at school. But ultimately all those things were for my
development only.
With school done , I was most sure of doing my bachelors in science ; specially in
Microbiology. During my bachelors, Ours was a gang of 9 girls & we had one
place in the college which was actually the place where we used to come &
enjoy after bunking the class. Over a period of time that place had become our
‘ADDA’, and from that adda we used to keep a close watch over every new faces
entering and exiting a college and then making a huuuuge fun out of all. Let me
share one very secret mischief with you all today, our FY class had two doors,
so once teacher enters in the class and takes the attendance, having taken the
attendance, he starts teaching and writing something on the board. Our entire group
preplans the bunk and deliberately sits in the last benches. So when sir starts
writing, we start cat – walk from
the back side door. And then all friends at adda, doing lot of masti….I am
fortunate that our entire group of science is intact till date. “Through every right and every wrong thing I've done, the wrong ones are the most fun doing....”
Now, for masters, we went to Ahmedabad – School of Sciences
& we were residing in University Hostel. I consider my hostel days as
GOLDEN DAYS of my life. Lots of memories attached to dept. and hostel including
going to wide angle for movie, visit to
science city & FSL forensic science laboratory, friend’s wedding and
midnight gossiping. In the hostel we had multicultural group coming from kutch,
kerala, mehsana , godhara and of course saurashtra. Preparing food in the
hostel room was prohibited, so we used to start that practice after 10 in the
night, all frnds in one room & we start making some spicy stuff… I remember
that peaceful night and uncontrollable whistle of pressure cooker...& all
of us with fear : Kahi rector ma’am na
aajaye … Phir aiseme agar koi door knock karta hai, to sab kuch bed ke niche
chupa ke darwaza kholtein, aur phir koi apana hi frnd nind se jag kar aaya dekh
use boori tarah pitatein the….
My journey at ahmedabad has gifted me with few
BFF – Best Friends Forever. I would specially mention here about Gayatri, she
took lot of pain to understand me and then correct me, change me to the extent
possible. There are many friends in our lives but only few are our true friends
who can speak bitter words about us for our betterment. Gayatri is one of them.
In last 7 yrs we hardly met three to four times, but till todate, just by
listening to my hello in the phone, she can give a complete graph of my mood,
my emotions, my concerns and everything about me. Unfortunately she doesn’t
believe in God, but I being hardcore Krishna bhakt : Meera, thank him for a
wonderful BFF Gift. “Growing apart doesn't change the fact that for a long time
we grew side by side; our roots will always be tangled. I'm glad for that.” ― Ally Condie,
Other friends at Ahmadabad were completely opposite than my
expectations about a’badis. Their also I had a wonderful group of 8-10 friends.
I remember, we had gone to Panchmandhi for about 15 days & their it was 3-4*C @ that time. When I cann’t walk for few kilometers, my friends let me
track for about 20 kms. I will not forget to mention here about BHEDAGHAT & a gr8
FUN WITH FEAR we had while passing through that river which was surrounded by
huge mountains ranges both the sides..Ohhh it was thrilling experience. That
was exactly the location where Kareena shoot ASHOKA.I just cant forget those
spiral roads of panchamadhi, on one side there was a mountain range and the
other side was a deep valley, very thin roads and unfortunately drunk driver….But
still it was a gr8 fun their too.
I still remember that last night party where one of my very
good friends Raj let me dance for the first time in public on the beats of
KAREENA’S most popular song “Gila gila gila gila dil gila gila”.
Having finished my M.Sc, I did a job of lecturer in the
field of science and then I joined Dept. of Mngt for doing my MBA. That was a revolutionary
phase of my life, which changed my personality type actually from most studious,
sincere, calm and introvert person to most humorous, mischievous, outspoken and
extrovert person. And all credit goes to my current MBA Group which is not a
group rather it’s a gang. Very few people enjoy their college life fully, which
remains with them as non repeatable moment, but, I am blessed that I got the
second chance during my MBA to enjoy those precious moments of my life
again. That time we had decided to enjoy our life fully and we did so. Again
lord Krishna gifted me some more BFF.
I just can't control myself recalling one
session when we were giving missed calls to each other during one lecture, and
disturbing each other. Unfortunately there was a presentation going on and my
phone rang, sir was sitting at the back bench, so he couldn’t make out as to
whose phone is ringing!!! By the time he comes up, I switched my phone off. He
asked : whose phone was ringing?? Everyone was aware that it was my phone which
was ringing, still no body replied…It was clearly seeming that they were becoming like a little Mafia. If one committed a mischief, the others would not tell. He adjourned that class and
presentation both. I was very guilty that If I would have surrendered, this
could not have happened… I went to those frnds who were presenting on that day
& said sorry to them.& for my surprise they said “Don’t worry dear, You
are always above all presentations”…That was most memorable incidence of my MBA..Tab se lekar aaj tak jab bhi kisi
class me kisi student ka phone bajata hai to… instead of scolding them I give a
sweet smile in the memories of those days…I cherish all those moments of
sitting in the parking till university watchman finally tells us to go…,reading
newspapers in the class of junior faculty members, bunking the class in the
name of placement coordination, tour coordination and many more.“Rules should always be bent, if not broken. It's the only way to have any fun.” - Alyson Noel.
I remember those days when there was a GCET organized at our dept.
Across my jouney @ MBA Dept., we had organized about 11 events in total
including Hawan to National Level Conference. Our visit to Kutch was the most memorable moment of my
jouney at MBA Dept., we had gone to Mandavi beach, it was a gr8 fun der &
we also had gone to 72 Jainalaaya where we stayed overnight & the fun we had
their can’t be expressed in words..Knocking the doors of frnds in the middle of
the night, and fight of one of our frnds with faculty companion made our picnic
a real fun…
I am really really thankful to my sir, Dr Pratpsinh Chauhan,
who brought my leadership potentials out by providing me lot of challenging
tasks, motivation to accomplish those tasks and of course freedom to do
anything and everything to get work done..I remember during our farewell
function I was awarded with “MISS APEX AWARD” by Chauhan sir that was a
moment of real pleasure…
When it comes to say something about BFF from saurashtra
university, I will not escape to mention about my truly wonderful friend Mauli,
she is really a gr8 gift of God to me.She listens to me in almost all the greys
and whites of my life, provides me with a true backbone needed. Her presence in
my life means really a lot to me…
I really cherish few special moments as in Sunday evening group meets(not less than any festival), making fun of
almost everyone present and absent, teasing friends who are absent in the
meeting by saying : “U R OUT OF THE GROUP NOW” b’coz ur attendance is low, in
the initiation of every month sparing some time to list down the holidays &
rest all fun on phone (jo Sunday ko reh gaye he) & that also in
conference, one week to plan for a festive, festive itself and two weeks to talk about the fun we had during the festive..tab tak to naya festive plan due ho jata hai.....lol....
I may not be able to mention each & everyone's name here but some of my treasured possessions & fun with them will remain as a sweet silent smile on my face, always.....Today I express my heartfelf gratitude to all those who have
made my journey so far truly memorable and BIG wala THANK to all those who have
lived those moments with me. I can’t define the role of friends in my life
through words but I only know that life without frnds is equal to air without
oxygen, blood without RBCs, Heart without beats & ATM without money in the
account…In short, It's been the best of journeys. And I hope it continues….
